2009-2010 EBOA National Officials Certification Program Floor Evaluation Appeal Process
An Official who has been designated a "level" can appeal to be re-evaluated if:
- they disagree with their current "level"; or
- they wish to challenge the next "level" of floor evaluation
An Official who wishes to appeal MUST:
- Send a letter or email advising their intention to appeal and reasons for the request to the NOCP Appeals Coordinator (Susan Yackabowski)
- Include a cheque/money order for $75.00, payable to the EBOA, to cover costs of the Re-evaluations. Cannot be charged to Official's account.
- Upon receipt of the cheque/money order by the NOCP Appeals Coordinator, they shall arrange with the Assignor an appropriate game level to be evaluated.
- The NOCP Appeals Coordinator will arrange and assign 3 Evaluators to the game site.
- No refunds, regardless of the outcome of the Appeal.
- In order to change the floor "level", the Official must meet the appropriate floor level base as per NOCP recommendations from 2 of the 3 assigned floor Evaluators.
An official who is naturally progressing through the NOCP levels does not constitute an "appeal" or a "challenge".
If an official is following the NOCP levels and fails their floor evaluation they can attempt again for that same level. An official will only get 2 opportunities at that same level in a year's time. This will not be considered an "appeal" nor a "challenge". It is part of the natural NOCP progression. After the prescribed time at a level and meeting the National Exam standards, an individual may request to move the next level.
