Training Session 6: Individual Officiating Techniques (IOTs)
EBOA members are invited to attend an online training session with Kerron Lewis, EBOA Director of Education, to discuss Individual Officiating Techniques (IOTs). Three sessions are being offered, please register for ONE only.

The EBOA is proud to host a special multi-sport forum for females in Association with the ABOA, Alberta Soccer, Alberta Softball Umpires Association, Alberta Volleyball and Hockey Alberta. Through their personal experience, an elite panel of world class level female referees will offer insight, lessons learned and potential pathways to less experienced or novice officials. A question and answer session will follow the panel presentations.
This forum is open to any female official of any sport, or those who may want to become a referee. Registration is free.
Space is limited and offered on a first-come first-served basis.

Metro High School Athletics
"As of November 6th, athletics will remain status quo, due to the climbing number of cases in our region. Schools that choose to are permitted to continue their in-house programming, which could include intramurals, tryouts, practices, scrimmages, and training within their own buildings.
The next communication will be made the week of November 23, after the Metro Membership meeting."
"As we continue to navigate through this uncharted territory [caused by covid-19], the ASAA is committed to providing guidance to help our schools to find a safe path forward to returning to sport in the school setting."

ACAC Cancels Winter 2021 Sports
EDMONTON – "As the result of recent developments, the ACAC has officially cancelled the 2021 extended winter semester season of athletics. A surge in Covid-19 cases in Alberta has caused the majority of ACAC member institutions to extend on-line academic program delivery into the winter 2021 semester in the interests of protecting the health and safety of students and the broader community."
OCTOBER 15, 2020
EDMONTON – "Canada West announced that no conference regular season, playoff or championship events will be staged during the 2020-21 season in men's and women's basketball, volleyball, hockey and wrestling. USports had already cancelled National Championships earlier this year."
The door was left open for the possibility of some non-conference play.
